One of the toughest questions a parent faces is how to teach his son or daughter to shoot a basketball. Are you going to accept the methods that are so commonly taught today? Or are you going to look for something better? Are you going to raise them shooting one way, then ask them to shoot another, when they get stronger? Or are they going to be stuck with the method that they learned when they were young?

These are all good questions that many parents have no answer for. My suggestion is that you teach your child the fundamental truths of the JUMP shot. The correct method of teaching a younger child are included in  the book.

Teach them about the qualities of symmetry, balance and alignment so that when they get older, and stronger, they will easily adapt to these guidelines. Then as they grow up they can recognize a great shooter when they see him or her play.

This is a book for both boys and girls. There are more women shooting like this every day in college and the WNBA.

I think it is time that we accept the possibility that a set of rules works for the jump shot. Why not use balance, symmetry and extension as guidelines, instead of relying on old customs and wife’s tales. How many times have you heard that if it works, then go with it? But seriously how many times does it work?

This is a system that works. The book is filled with information. You will enjoy it and learn from it.
